Vale Michaela, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE DIED, you are not just another statistic, you are a real person. Violence against women at the hands of males is not acceptable at any level. So many very important women in my life have stories of violence and this is NOT RIGHT. I”m not sure what I can do, but I am going to do something. Awareness maybe, helping those in ‘at risk’ industries learn a little self defense, (it’s abhorrent I even have this thought, or see a need), but we have to do something NOW.

Writing her death off as an outcome of the industry she works in is like justifying accidents on construction sites. IT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN, IT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN AND WE ALL HAVE TO PLAY A PART IN IT NOT HAPPENING AGAIN.
